[00:00:00] I am back from podcast movement in Los Angeles. I'm going to tell you all about that stuff alive from the event and I discovered a brand new tool which is also designed to clean up bad audio.

[00:00:30] Hey what's happening how are you doing today? Thank you so much for being here. I am Chris and I'm from the original Chris and Christine show podcast. You know you can find out every single thing about that show on a website which is yeah you guessed it Chris and Christine show dot com a link to it in the show notes of this very episode. You can scroll on down and there it is but you know what

[00:01:00] what's going on. How are you doing? How is that podcast of yours? How are you doing with it? Are you enjoying your podcast? Is it making you enjoy podcasting? Are you dreading podcasting? Well you know what I am here to help you out. Let's turn that frown upside down and make sure you have an fantastic podcast for your audience. Now I just got back in the town last night from podcast movement in Los Angeles

[00:01:30] about the wonderful time I had up there at the podcast movement. Evolutions which I just found out there are many different versions of podcast movement. I was at the evolutions version of it. The big version, the main version of podcast movement is happening this I believe with this August in Washington DC so if you want to check that out if you are in the area. Please check that out. I highly recommend going to an event like this.

[00:02:00] I've learned so much there's so much marketing going on so much networking going on you learn a lot of different things you get to talk to the vendors face to face. You got to talk to other podcasters face to face you get to talk to other people in the industry people that I have met virtually I get to talk to really in person face to face shake their hands hang out. It was a wonderful time now if you are listening to my very last episode with Rena Friedman what?

[00:02:30] I mentioned that when I do go up to podcast movement that I was going to do a live stream recording directly from the hotel room each night I was there to kind of give my thoughts on what I thought of what I saw there at podcast movement while it was still fresh in my mind which is really the best way to do any kind of like review on anything you see.

[00:02:53] The quicker you can get that on physical recording the better that's why I was thinking about doing that so what I did was I made a live stream going directly to my YouTube channel directly from my hotel room now what kind of gear did I use to pull this off all I had with me was my MacBook Pro computer and one ATR 2100 microphone plugged right into the computer no headphones no interface.

[00:03:23] No extra anything just a USB microphone now the ATR 2100 microphone sell sure about.

[00:03:30] $70 give or take I see as low as $50 I seen as much as $100 so it's somewhere in that ballpark it's usually never more than a hundred bucks for that microphone you can hand hold the microphone or.

[00:03:45] You can put it in a little like microphone cradle like a little microphone stand if you really wanted to I was just hand holding the microphone which made it very easy to use because when you just hold the microphone in your hand there's less things to worry about when you just have the microphone in your hand there's no boom arm there's nothing to worry about.

[00:04:07] But before I tell you all the great things about podcasts movement from my experience I'm going to tell you about a new software that I actually picked up right before I left town it's called.

[00:04:20] X sound or Xounder how he says X sound I think is a spin out sit it's basically spelled the word sound but remove the S input an X where the S would go so it's like X

[00:04:33] sound is it guess how it is basically what it is it's a AI generated audio cleanup tool now when it comes to audio cleanup tools like AI generated cool tools the clean your audio I'm all about because it saves time.

[00:04:51] It sounds really good and when it comes to making a podcast for yourself for a client or anybody you want to make sure these things sound amazing and time really is money so

[00:05:02] when it comes to all these things I really had to push it through its paces to see what really can do now according to their website this is what X sound really does it's an AI voice cleaner and removes background and noise so it actually does a natural pitch correction.

[00:05:20] It of course you know removes background noise using AI is as a cleans the voice and enhances the listening experience overall so it's kind of like a one stop shop drop your audio in there it will kind of do some you know AI magic make it sound pretty good there's lots these tools to do kind of the same thing but I got such a killer deal on this you know software I had to give it a shot so I want to play you a clip right now.

[00:05:50] Of me sitting at my living room table with just a MacBook pro using only the Macbook pro microphone talking directly into which is probably the worst case scenario or any kind of guest you possibly could have just talking into their laptop doing like a zoom call or something like that this is going to be the worst case scenario for audio talking directly into the MacBook Pro.

[00:06:16] This is what it sounds like before and then I'm going to play what it sounds like after I ran it through X sound so here is the raw audio.

[00:06:24] Okay this is a test run I am sitting about probably two and a half feet away from the microphone on the laptop talking right into it here at the dining room table just me and the MacBook Pro computer that is it no microphone no nothing.

[00:06:42] So as you can tell it's not a good thing to do is just go back and do the same thing.

[00:06:47] So I'm going to play with the Macbook Pro computer that is the best case scenario ever.

[00:06:52] Okay this is a test run I am sitting about probably two and a half feet away from the microphone on the laptop talking right into it here at the dining room table just me and the MacBook Pro computer that is it no microphone no nothing.

[00:07:07] So as you can tell it's fairly good at what it does keeping the clarity but also not muffling it too much we notice a lot of these tools that designed to like remove background noise and you know noise filtering type of tools really kind of like.

[00:07:27] It makes the audio sound a little muddy little like filtered a little too much base and they took the treble all the way out that's kind of the key here really a lot of these tools will remove all the treble.

[00:07:41] Out of the audio because that that treble is kind of like where all the echo pitchy sound kind of hides so if they remove that kind of remove some of that stuff boost a lot of the bass that's what a lot of these tools come to do but anyways I picked it up on sale.

[00:07:56] I think I only paid about $40 for the program with a lifetime usage not monthly but I do believe if you want to go per month on the website right now let's see their pricing it was a limited processing for up to 20 hours a month is about $12 a month is what you're charging.

[00:08:16] And I guess you can go single use for five bucks a month I don't know there's a free version to but the free version this is almost like a joke the free version says.

[00:08:24] You only get 30 seconds of use on the free version I mean what do you want to do with 30 seconds like how you must even use that for a podcast a 30 second podcast.

[00:08:34] Yeah you can't do that and just like all the audio tools and audio enhancing feature things we use as podcast creators or even audio editors all these tools are designed to take a bad audio make it sound good and take good audio make it sound great that's what it's all about making sure that if you have somebody coming in with bad audio.

[00:08:56] It was recorded just on a laptop you have the tools I just was all to take their audio and make it sound at least fairly decent and the reason why bringing this up today is because when I did those live stream recordings in the hotel room from podcast movement.

[00:09:14] I took that audio and ran it through X sound for this podcast today so just keep in mind when you listen to the audio that I have ran that audio through X sound not that it was like horrible or anything like that not that it was really bad.

[00:09:28] It's just that I wanted to make sure it's down the best for you okay so this is going to be day one this is right after I just checked into the hotel.

[00:09:38] I just went over to check things out my very first live stream from the hotel on day one here it is.

[00:09:45] What's happening how are you doing we are live from podcast movement in Los Angeles.

[00:09:53] I am Chris and this is podcasting audio the live edition happening right now as a record this very episode.

[00:10:02] I am coming to you from my hotel room which is here at the downtown LA area which is right across from the event which is happening right across your right over there but I'm here for podcast movement this is the live stream I promised you I would come to you live every single night and I'm doing it right now.

[00:10:24] So coming to you from the hotel room now let me tell you about the day up here how it what it was like checking in the whole thing of podcast movement and listen I have never been to any kind of like podcasting event of any kind like this at all so this is a really a new experience for me coming up to event like this I'm not really in the corporate world so being in a podcast event like this was a totally a new thing.

[00:10:52] So I drove up here I knew I had to check in this hotel like right around at say was it like 4 o'clock p.m. and with traffic and traffic and tell you there's a ton of traffic come up here so what I did was is that I left right around noon time in San Diego I figured two and a half hours maybe a three hour drive up here but there was a lot of traffic on the way up here especially the more you get into like downtown area.

[00:11:22] Lots of traffic so I grab some food got my truck all gased up got everything I need make sure I'm all packed up right in the role brought the computer in here we are and I'm running all the way up to Los Angeles and then my GPS said something like hey there's a big road closure or freeway closure something like that didn't say what but apple maps like redirect me up the 15 over the 78 to ocean side up north and I went there.

[00:11:52] That way all the way up there so that's what I did and I got up there up to Los Angeles area had a little hard time finding the hotel but once I found the hotel.

[00:12:03] I was in the hotel and I went straight to the valley because I'm like you know what there's parking across the street but this is not like the greatest neighborhood and there's lots of homeless living around here and who knows what the hum just like you know what I'm going to drop my truck off from valley.

[00:12:21] Pay a little extra but drop off in the valley you know maybe they're going to take care of it at least maybe hopefully park it in like a secured area or some sort I got to pay a ton of money for that no worries.

[00:12:34] I dropped the keys I go inside and I check into the hotel and I say room for Chris ball ball whatever get all my information great give my room key great I get upstairs up to the hotel here

[00:12:48] and the first thing I do is I get my computer all set up and then I get like my bag all unpacked I get everything put away how I want it.

[00:12:56] And then I'm like trying to figure out how to get the wi-fi on the computer to work because it's not working and I'm like well if I can do a streaming live stream later today how am I going to do it if the computer is not picking up any of the wi-fi it's not working it's crashing I don't know what the problem is now I was like you know what.

[00:13:17] I got time for this because I got to be over at the event to get my badge for podcast movement so I kind of drop up doing here and then I head over to podcast moving which is like really across the street the hotel I can cross the street it's literally not that far but I know that so I'm looking forward on the map and there's lots of other buildings like in the area so I'm like literally walking around the street trying to figure out how to get over to the event center.

[00:13:46] The event center where the actual podcast event is going to be at with the other hotel and turns out it's actually just right across the street like literally like one cross walk I didn't even know that so here I'm running around like a knucklehead anyways I found the events and then I'm looking around because the big hotel they've got other events going on

[00:14:06] at the same time other things but I think podcast movement is probably like the biggest event going on this weekend so I go upstairs because there's a big escalator thing takes you upstairs two levels you go upstairs and I finally see the podcast movement like sign like the booth saying podcast movement this way it's like go over there and I see a crowd of people lots of people like going down it's like corridor

[00:14:34] and I see all these people there all these different things and never like booths and things like that and I'm like my gosh well I guess I better get in line this must be the line to get your badge because today they said between I was like 3 p.m. and like 7 p.m. is when you had to get in there to get your pass for podcast movement today right so I go there and on the left side I see another like booth almost like you check in for like a hotel like a hotel check in

[00:15:03] style of like people over there checking things in and I'm like well maybe that's where I need to go because this other line is going all the way to the end and they said there is the ambies like podcast award thing going on an event going on that same night tonight and I'm like well I don't have take us to go that so why would I go to that and ask the guy behind me in line I'm like hey are you going for a walk

[00:15:31] are you going for the tickets for the show or you go into do the sign in to check in or what has this work I think if you're checking check in you should go right over there there's nobody there great hot under the little rope thing and I went straight over there to the check in booth I said I can check it in did they give you a bar QR code I say yeah they did so let me scan the little QR code my phone rather the scanner thing my whole information popped up by name the podcast email whatever

[00:16:01] it all popped up on screen I see that's great go ahead and then I got the little pass do it over there somewhere and I still have it of course I need it for tomorrow but I have the past and then I'm walking around like peruse in the hallway

[00:16:17] and I'm checking all the cool different things now all the vendors all their booths were already set up but they did not have any people working there I guess I come into tomorrow or something I don't know so we're walking around wise I'm by myself walking around

[00:16:33] and I'm checking out the different booths and looking around all these different people and all different things and then I realized there's an upstairs section there's escalators that go upstairs so I get on the escalator and I go up there

[00:16:47] and I go upstairs see what's up there now up there there's another section of like different booths set up for different vendors

[00:16:53] now a lot of these vendors from what I could see today a lot of them are just like the like Streamyard, Libson some other podcasting stuff is up there

[00:17:03] I think a lot of it is industry stuff a lot of AI stuff I've seen two out here because it seems like a lot of like

[00:17:11] Hey, you know send your podcast over here and we'll generate this wonderful stuff for you

[00:17:17] for your podcast lickly split bobboboon by the bing and that's kind of how they do it

[00:17:23] And so after I did that stuff I look at my email and there's a thing that says hey

[00:17:29] There's a big party going on

[00:17:31] downstairs in the hotel lobby where it's like a bar and like a bunch of chairs and tables a big old get together thing happening at 7 p.m

[00:17:39] If you get down there 7 p.m.

[00:17:41] Even when the first one's down there we're giving you a free drink ticket

[00:17:45] Why not free drinks? Oh, yeah

[00:17:47] So then I head on down there a little early and I see some people down on their mingling and hanging out

[00:17:53] I don't feel nervous so I go to the bar and then I order myself a drink

[00:17:57] And then I look at the receipt and I like holy crap my gosh

[00:18:01] So I see the receipt pay for whatever

[00:18:03] And then I'm hanging out there and this lady comes up to me and shares talk about podcast

[00:18:07] Of course I'm talking about podcasting

[00:18:09] So it's your talk maybe a podcasting

[00:18:10] And then I'm like oh that's cool. Yeah, we start talking different shows and different things

[00:18:14] Whether from where I'm from all kind of stuff

[00:18:16] Her husband of podcast great they do that and then

[00:18:20] I start meeting other people and then I met the other two ladies were talking about podcasting and stuff like that

[00:18:26] I talked them like the rest of the night. We hung out. They've whole rest of the night

[00:18:29] We changed business cards all that stuff and I had

[00:18:32] hardly rarely drink so I'm a little buzz right now. So excuse me for the hat, but

[00:18:37] You know getting one of the kittens good, I guess it's

[00:18:40] So I do it. So anyways, then I go over

[00:18:44] After we kind of like you know winter and super ways towards end of the evening

[00:18:47] I was gonna get hungry. It's like I gotta get some eat because I've been drinking so much tonight

[00:18:51] With the free drinks and all that stuff so I've been drinking and then I

[00:18:54] Go over to a smash burger which happens to be like in the courtyard area of the crypto arena

[00:18:59] Which used to be the staple center

[00:19:02] This is where the hotel is in that little pocket

[00:19:04] So there was a smash burger went over there grabbed the burger

[00:19:09] Walk back to hotel. What's literally it's like across street? It's like so close

[00:19:13] I don't know. I don't know as how close it was. It's like fizzly guy here in fact how close it really was

[00:19:17] It's literally nothing at all my cross street no big deal

[00:19:21] Got my stuff and and here I am streaming for you

[00:19:25] Although I cannot get the Wi-Fi to work in this hotel

[00:19:29] I'm using my iPhone hotspot to fizzly get this thing done

[00:19:33] And is it working? I don't know we'll find out won't we but that is all I've done so far today

[00:19:39] And it looks fun

[00:19:42] I haven't seen eating really events or anything happening tonight other than all the people

[00:19:46] That probably know each other and they may be doing their own thing

[00:19:49] And they're probably just hanging out and doing whatever they're doing and all that stuff but

[00:19:53] Most of the people I've heard here tonight so far are here for networking

[00:19:59] They're here network with other people another podcasters or whatever baby

[00:20:03] That's kind of each one. I'm here too is a network with their people

[00:20:07] So that's kind of why I'm here, but

[00:20:09] So much fun and I cannot wait to see what tomorrow is the store for all this great stuff

[00:20:14] But so far this is day one. I just got here

[00:20:19] And so far so good. I'll be here tonight tomorrow night

[00:20:24] And then that's it I think

[00:20:26] They will come back on Thursday

[00:20:28] So but anyways if you have any questions you can comment whatever you want to do

[00:20:33] I'm gonna try to live stream as soon as I get a chance to do it

[00:20:36] It can't always be exactly your time or whatever it's whenever I get done

[00:20:41] Doing this kind of stuff and we'll get it up set up for you to roll so

[00:20:45] Until next time until tomorrow happy podcasting

[00:20:50] That was fantastic that was the very first time

[00:20:54] I got up there to podcast movement checking the lay of the land figuring things out

[00:21:00] And moving on to my official first real full day at podcast movement

[00:21:05] That was Wednesday now when say it was a big day a lot of big speakers a lot of things happening

[00:21:11] A party at the end of capital off and here is that recording that I did that same night

[00:21:18] After getting back to my hotel room from podcast movement

[00:21:22] We are live

[00:21:24] We are live coming to you from podcast movement

[00:21:28] What's happening? I am Chris from podcast ag audio and this little guy is the duck from stream yard

[00:21:34] Which is actually happening to make this whole thing even happen tonight with

[00:21:40] Streamy art powering this entire thing live

[00:21:43] That's right. We are live. Hey, what's happening? How are you doing? How darnin podcast lad?

[00:21:51] I

[00:21:52] Actually got this from the stream yard booth talk to the guys today

[00:21:56] So today is our official like first day of podcast movement here

[00:22:01] And let me tell you how it all went down today is that

[00:22:05] I got up extremely early today to get this even done

[00:22:09] And because the very first thing that I wanted to see this morning was 9 a.m

[00:22:15] Was James Kriotlin was doing a presentation

[00:22:18] Followed behind him was Amy Poler

[00:22:21] And so I wanted to make sure I got over there which is just like a walk across the street

[00:22:26] No big deal. I walked across the street and then I

[00:22:30] Got over there and I got into where I needed to be

[00:22:34] And I found the room they were gonna be doing the presentation

[00:22:37] It was like the big main hall because they are like the big two

[00:22:40] Like major keynote speakers for the whole event

[00:22:44] So I know James because I've had him on this show podcasting audio as a guest

[00:22:50] And he's been very kind to add me to pod news and you know when I had the 100th episode of podcasting audio

[00:22:59] He actually gave me a shout out on pod news about my episode coming out so that was fantastic

[00:23:05] So I go over there

[00:23:07] And I get in there I found a seat up front

[00:23:09] And another guy comes over and he's like hey, we should talk him for a while

[00:23:13] And then that is holding networking thing going on to where people at the event

[00:23:19] You have these badges. Let me find it for you here

[00:23:25] These things these badges as you can see on the video here and the audio version

[00:23:29] You're not gonna see this but it's like a little badge with your name on it in a QR code

[00:23:33] so

[00:23:34] The thing about the

[00:23:36] Podcast movement is they want you to have

[00:23:38] This app because on the app is where you have your profile

[00:23:45] To when people scan this

[00:23:47] It automatically you adds them to your list of contacts or your connections within the actual

[00:23:55] Podcast movement app

[00:23:57] My problem was I didn't have a lot of actual stuff

[00:24:02] On my profile. In fact, my profile was blank

[00:24:05] Like nothing I like my name and they even my email

[00:24:09] And that's it maybe the podcasted

[00:24:11] Potastic audio won't be on there

[00:24:12] But no social media links no

[00:24:15] Picture had nothing on there

[00:24:17] So I'm scanning these guys and I'm realizing what does mine look like on yours because

[00:24:22] If yours has all your cool stuff

[00:24:25] And mine has nothing

[00:24:27] Then I'm like oh, I want to do that too

[00:24:28] So while the first events get set up

[00:24:31] I'm quickly on my phone trying to like add all the things add the LinkedIn add the Twitter add the Instagram add a photo

[00:24:39] Do all that stuff

[00:24:40] While the event is about to take off now James Kriotlin comes in his thing was great. He did his whole presentation

[00:24:47] It was fantastic

[00:24:49] You went over basically the numbers of podcasting talking about the industry how the

[00:24:56] You know apple is always number one the charts and Spotify then trickle down the red

[00:25:01] How the numbers go up they go down what caused them to go up and go down

[00:25:05] Apple how they changed the way they download podcasts. It's not automatic anymore

[00:25:10] I've physically left a download when you download and that is what's causing the dip in some of these numbers

[00:25:16] Things that sort a lot of a lot of data driven type of stuff

[00:25:20] Then right after he left the stage

[00:25:23] Amy Polar came up with another individual. They did like a sit down

[00:25:28] Talking across each other on the stage with microphones like this in their hand

[00:25:33] Um talking about all the shows they're working on all the shows they have coming out and then um

[00:25:40] It's basically like a big push for all her stuff. She did mention how she liked podcasting how she was into podcasts

[00:25:47] She likes listening to podcasts and one thing I got I kind of caught from this was that

[00:25:52] When she went to go show some of her samples on the big screen

[00:25:58] I was like okay great. They're gonna probably gonna do like a video thing

[00:26:01] Maybe it's like a sitcom a show maybe it's like a zoom chatter or a Riverside type of chat thing going on

[00:26:08] But no

[00:26:10] They actually just played a still image with audio

[00:26:14] Of her shows like shows she's promoting and things like that. I got me thinking that like

[00:26:20] Even the big celebrities that have lots of podcasts under their name and their production teams and all that

[00:26:27] They're pushing audio like audio is their thing in fact

[00:26:32] Also, there was another company that's doing this big major

[00:26:37] Thing and it's gonna be like audio only to audio drama

[00:26:42] Done in the style of like a theatrical performance or perhaps maybe even a movie

[00:26:49] They're using like actual stages and actors and they're doing the whole show on like a sound stage

[00:26:57] And they actually have like the actors like acting it all out live

[00:27:03] But it's just recording all the audio and but the cool thing is about that is that they're doing it for that new

[00:27:10] Dolby outmose or whatever that apple new

[00:27:14] Apple audio space space special audio. That's what it is. Spatial audio

[00:27:18] Sorry, I've had a few drinks. I just got back from the iHeart festival iHeart

[00:27:22] Party just now so but anyways

[00:27:26] They were pushing that stuff. Well that's that's very very fascinating that

[00:27:30] they're really focusing on

[00:27:32] Audio only stuff like big money and big production for something just audio

[00:27:39] It's not like a video like everyone says videos video video video whatever

[00:27:44] So the rest of the day in the like I guess the hallway section

[00:27:49] It's where they have all of the different booths from Riverside speaking to audio lips and was there

[00:27:55] Streamyard was there. That's where I got the little ducky was from the Streamyard booth

[00:28:00] I said dude, I gotta get one of those things can I get one your ducks? They said absolutely you can

[00:28:05] I got a shirt got some swag stickers all that great stuff. I even told them out. We're doing Streamyard like this right now

[00:28:12] I said um, I'm testing out your product. I love it. I'm only using the free plan

[00:28:16] But hey you guys will hook me up with a paid version. I'm all down for that

[00:28:21] So ducky says yeah well down for that too. You're gonna money

[00:28:24] Yeah, ducky like I want the money you're the money

[00:28:27] So but anyways

[00:28:29] Do I talk to these guys and I get all their swag and I hang out with them and on the app

[00:28:34] I have it tells you where the different events are so if you want to catch the event

[00:28:39] You know exactly like where it is when it is so you can actually make it happen

[00:28:43] And so I saw probably like maybe four or five different events and

[00:28:49] Two of them are people I knew I knew Brian cutting him and I knew Dave Jackson both are even events

[00:28:55] And then another guy who was doing video talking about doing video editing

[00:29:00] His event I came with a dude's name, but

[00:29:02] Could I met him and I scanned his information in my phone app or whatever it is

[00:29:07] So that's how you do it meet people you scan them or if you can't remember to scan them

[00:29:11] Don't worry everybody. It was here like all their information is like listed in the app directory

[00:29:17] Please scroll through there find the person

[00:29:20] You can message them right on the app or

[00:29:23] I think you can just go there and like

[00:29:25] Find their social media, which is what I've been doing

[00:29:28] Finding all their social media. So anyways, I go to this other event about video editing was very fascinating

[00:29:34] tied with the different camera angles in the head room and the different lighting and the different things

[00:29:38] And all the different back jobs and different stuff

[00:29:40] Like this is all just stream your live

[00:29:42] Direct to YouTube which is fine whatever it's easy for me to do it

[00:29:46] It's simple like on the go like this which is great so

[00:29:51] And then um, I went to this one event that I saw on my schedule

[00:29:57] It was all about um

[00:29:59] Fiddy was all about podcast graveyard like talk about podcasts that have died

[00:30:04] And I'm like

[00:30:05] Well

[00:30:06] That'd be great thing to talk about it. Luis learn about like why are shows dying

[00:30:11] And maybe there's ways we can prevent doing that

[00:30:14] And so we get over there to the area where the presentation is it was not in a big room

[00:30:19] It was like in like a side

[00:30:21] There's a side section that's like had had benches and had a

[00:30:25] Presenter stage and like a microphone and all that but it's like a really small little area

[00:30:29] And there was a lady there giving a presentation about like something serious topic stuff

[00:30:33] So when she wrapped up, you know, I say those great, you know hearing from you those great stuff

[00:30:38] I appreciate you doings you do we talked for a minute

[00:30:41] So we're waiting for the next guy to show up

[00:30:44] And it's about podcasts dying off

[00:30:47] And he never shows up and they call his day one loudspeaker like we're trying to get so on

[00:30:51] So to this stage because we're all waiting for him to show up

[00:30:54] And he never shows up and I thought how's the funny is that you have a show or you have a presenter

[00:31:00] Talking about your show dying

[00:31:02] And yet this guy never shows up

[00:31:04] So maybe his whole presentation died already

[00:31:07] Maybe it's a joke on us is that

[00:31:10] Yeah, we're talking about pod fading but my whole presentation just puffed pod faded by itself

[00:31:17] I don't know so but that was fun

[00:31:20] And then I also

[00:31:22] By the way had to grab lunch somewhere because you know you're eating around here is there's food here

[00:31:27] They sell food here in the like invention hall dude. It was like

[00:31:31] Like literally airplane food like little baskets little preheated little things, you know

[00:31:37] For like 25 bucks

[00:31:39] Like screw that

[00:31:40] In this area there's a few food places only real food place. It's like fast food-ish

[00:31:46] Is smash burger so I went over to the smash burger smash burger twice over there and then so I did that and then

[00:31:55] At the end they had another party going on in this big exhibit hall

[00:31:59] And it said free drinks for anybody first hundred people to go through dude free drinks hook me up

[00:32:04] You know what I'm saying? So I head over there and then I get my little ticket go and get myself a bookardian coke

[00:32:10] And drink that mango with a few different people

[00:32:14] That's a thing too if you don't know anybody really here

[00:32:16] I mean you meet people here but like if you don't have your own crew or your own core people

[00:32:21] Kind of feel like you're kind of an outsider a little bit, but

[00:32:25] I did my best. I talked to a few people did made my rounds, you know

[00:32:29] Drink my thing and then I found out Christine was actually coming in the town

[00:32:33] At the very same time

[00:32:35] And so she was coming back to the hotel

[00:32:36] So I will let her in the hotel so let me walk over here over to the hotel

[00:32:40] Me Christine. I came back with like a few minutes of spare and then she came in

[00:32:46] I got her to the room we got checked in and we figured out where we're gonna eat

[00:32:49] so we went over to

[00:32:51] Lazy Dog there's a restaurant over in this whole area

[00:32:54] There's a lazy dog yard house as a few other places in the area next to crypto center, which is where the lake is played

[00:33:01] So we're over there grabbing lunch and stuff and then we find out yeah

[00:33:04] There's the iHeart Media party. It's like a big giant party

[00:33:08] They do for this whole podcasting thing so I'm like well

[00:33:12] Maybe we can both get in because you're with me. We'll just walk right in

[00:33:17] Thinking that I know they'll check their badge. They'll check these all I mean they'll check these these these these

[00:33:21] ID things

[00:33:22] But what if you just say we don't have one or what if we maybe

[00:33:26] Maybe I have mine and maybe they'll like let you in right? So

[00:33:30] I think I must try it so we get over there and they're like really checking all the badges

[00:33:34] They're like any badge anybody doesn't have a badge. They're trying them away

[00:33:38] So Christine's like well

[00:33:40] I don't want to go okay, whatever

[00:33:42] So I walk her back over to the hotel

[00:33:46] And she goes you know hangs out in the hotel

[00:33:49] I go back over there to the iHeart party. I get inside there

[00:33:52] It is a massive festival

[00:33:55] It's got food. It's got DJ's spin and it's got they're giving out free wine and there's a little wine people walk around the free wine things

[00:34:02] I had wine you know the other drinks too of course and all that got your stuff

[00:34:06] I met up with some of the people there

[00:34:08] Talked a few people did the whole networking thing where you scan the badge and you get the information

[00:34:13] I did that kind of stuff

[00:34:15] Didn't have there too long because I can say I don't really know a lot of people were there

[00:34:18] I met people there, but

[00:34:20] I think a lot of these people that are there like already know each other

[00:34:24] The either work in the industry. So it's like they're on crew that's already there or perhaps maybe

[00:34:31] They came with people to the whole event and they're there

[00:34:34] Going there by myself. I just feel kind of weird, but I don't know

[00:34:37] Maybe I'm just going to hold this kind of things

[00:34:39] It's different last time I was in a bar or club like that was when I was on the prowl and I was

[00:34:45] Single and younger and maybe Vegas things like that

[00:34:48] But this is a little different feel for me anyways, but

[00:34:51] That's just me, but anyways had a wonderful time this whole event spend a lot of stuff and I've been

[00:34:57] Running around the clock like

[00:35:00] super early drinking out late

[00:35:04] And it wasn't anything that late really, but it feels late when you've been up like six a.m

[00:35:09] Anybody around doing this stuff

[00:35:11] So but uh, I'm gonna go check out the event tomorrow

[00:35:15] Then I'm ahead on home tomorrow and I don't know what I'm doing live stream tomorrow if I do one

[00:35:20] Probably might be when I get home. I don't know, but this has been an amazing

[00:35:24] Time and amazing trip. I recommend anybody if they could do this

[00:35:28] Come out here and check this stuff out if you can

[00:35:32] I would but but me and the streamer duck are gonna sign off for tonight

[00:35:37] Yeah, we're signing for tonight

[00:35:40] Keep on podcasting keep on podcasting

[00:35:42] And I will catch you on the next one

[00:35:45] Okay, that was fantastic

[00:35:48] It's always great to do a live stream after an event live or people can see it on YouTube or you can hear it here

[00:35:55] And I was always thinking that you know what right after the event if you want to join me on the live stream

[00:36:01] Great, if you want to stick around and watch the youtube version of it great

[00:36:05] Or if you want to listen to it right here on the regular podcast great

[00:36:09] Be everywhere you possibly can because you just never know

[00:36:12] How what where people are gonna experience your stuff and how they're gonna find your actual content

[00:36:18] You know people discover shows from all walks of life and all different ways and all different things

[00:36:23] And that's kind of the thing about all this stuff is that there's not one silver bullet on how to grow your physical audience

[00:36:31] It's like oh you just do that one thing and all of a sudden you're gonna have a million downloads

[00:36:35] Oh, if you just do decide to do like, you know a live stream to YouTube

[00:36:40] All of a sudden you're gonna get like a millions of downloads

[00:36:42] That's not always the case

[00:36:43] And the same thing with maybe if you have like say a big time guest on your show same thing too

[00:36:48] Oh, oh fact that big time guest. Oh, if only get them on my show

[00:36:52] I'm gonna have you know millions of downloads and on my show it's gonna be mega popular and all this great stuff

[00:36:58] It's kind of a combination of all the things

[00:37:01] That's what I've learned whether you're doing video or audio or doing the Instagram thing or the twitter thing or what x now

[00:37:08] I guess or the LinkedIn thing or you're doing the email thing

[00:37:12] If you can do all the things and juggle them all very well and spend maybe you know

[00:37:18] I mean it all takes time if you don't have time to do it then you don't have time to do it

[00:37:22] It's just a way it is because we're all just single, you know

[00:37:25] Just so little podcasters here doing everything by ourselves

[00:37:29] And we have regular jobs and we have kids and we have stuff to do that. I get it

[00:37:33] I'm in the same boat

[00:37:34] So it's hard for me the juggled everything so it's hard even put all my energy in just one let alone like all the things

[00:37:41] But if you can sprinkle your little love everywhere around maybe just maybe someone might find your stuff and like it

[00:37:47] So that's why I've been tinkering a little bit with video

[00:37:49] Especially with the live streaming video

[00:37:52] Just to get my you know feet wet a little bit. I'm not expecting it to like

[00:37:56] You know to map my show just take off and get millions of downloads

[00:38:00] I'm not expecting that at all

[00:38:02] It's just getting a little more exposure

[00:38:05] Does somebody that may not be aware of my show or my stuff?

[00:38:09] That's the only reason why I would even do it

[00:38:11] I guess the one thing that I really learned from my experience at podcast movement and talking to other people in the industry

[00:38:18] Is that really good content

[00:38:21] Really rain supreme on almost anything no matter how much fluff you put up there no matter how many things you try to sell

[00:38:29] No matter how many cameras you're using or microphones are using or the best gear all the great crazy stuff

[00:38:35] None of that really matters if you have no value to deliver

[00:38:40] And speaking of delivering value. I hope I have delivered some value to you

[00:38:45] And if you can do me a small favor if you could hit that follow button or subscribe button in whichever platform

[00:38:52] You're listening to the show to right now that would be awesome because that way

[00:38:57] You can be informed and never have to miss a future episode

[00:39:01] It'll be there waiting for you on the next one and that is where you'll find me and until then happy podcasting
