BONUS EPISODE - Do Podcasters really want Honest Feedback?

Many podcasters aspire to receive honest feedback on their shows, envisioning constructive criticism as a means of refining their content and enhancing the overall listener experience. However, the reality often reveals a subtler truth—many podcasters, while expressing a desire for honesty, truly yearn for affirmation rather than critique. The vulnerability of putting creative work into the public sphere can make negative feedback difficult to digest, prompting creators to subtly hope for positive reinforcement instead. This delicate dance between seeking authenticity and craving approval reflects the complex interplay between creative passion and the innate human desire for validation in the realm of podcasting.

Thanks so much for listening, I really appreciate it so much. If you need any help with your podcast, feel free to reach out. My email is podtasticaudio@gmail.com

[00:00:00] Thank you for playing the bonus round on Podtastic Audio, or should I say the bonus edition episode?

[00:00:06] You know, on these very short bonus edition episodes, I deliver value directly to you

[00:00:13] cutting out all the fluff, all the nonsense, and we just get straight to the point.

[00:00:17] So today, I'm going to talk about my favorite social media platform that I like to use

[00:00:23] for when it comes to promoting my podcast, talking know, see what people think about different topics and different things about podcasting. And I just recently put out a survey like last week, and this has been in my personal experience the largest intake of voters on any survey that I've ever done. I mean, this is incredible. I want to say thank you if you have voted on this survey.

[00:01:42] It's a very simple survey. do not think that we actually want to hear honest feedback because the times I have given honest feedback for those who have asked me to listen to their show and I said, Hey, I'm going to give you honest feedback. Are you okay with that? And like, yeah, totally. I want to hear the truth. I want to hear everything. Okay. And I press play and it's nonsense chatter,

[00:03:00] you know, sharing a blue Yeti, you, just tell me I'm awesome. And it's all good. The problem with that is that you will not know what areas you need to work on to improve your podcast. Nobody improves by skating by with an F and I'm not here to bash on everybody's

[00:04:22] podcast. I want you to have an amazing podcast. I want your show to be great.
