BONUS EPISODE - Tailoring Your Podcast to Serve Your Audience Best

In the vast and ever-expanding world of podcasting, the decision to niche down and intimately understand your audience is not merely a strategic move but a crucial foundation for success. Operating a variety podcast may seem appealing, offering a broad range of topics for a diverse audience, but in reality, this approach often dilutes the impact and connection with listeners. By honing in on a specific niche, podcasters can cultivate a dedicated community of like-minded individuals who share a genuine interest in the content. Knowing your audience enables tailored content creation, allowing you to address their unique needs, preferences, and pain points. This focused approach not only enhances the overall listening experience but also fosters stronger loyalty and engagement, ultimately propelling your podcast to greater heights in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Thanks so much for listening, I really appreciate it so much. If you need any help with your podcast, feel free to reach out. My email is podtasticaudio@gmail.com

[00:00:00] Hey, what's happening? How are you doing today?

[00:00:03] I want to say thank you so much for being here.

[00:00:06] I am Chris and this is the bonus edition episode of

[00:00:10] podcasting audio.

[00:00:11] You see on these little short bonus episodes,

[00:00:14] I deliver value directly to you, you know,

[00:00:17] cutting out all the fluff, all the nonsense and we get straight to the point.

[00:00:21] It is the bonus round, baby.

[00:00:23] So welcome to the year 2024. But Tijuana, Mexico, they broadcast their signals at a much higher frequency. So we were able to pick it up much clearer. Now on that Fox station, it had all my favorite shows. When I go home from school, it had cartoons. I think it was a duck tails, maybe tailspin. Then it went into like more other kind of content like saved by the bell was on Star Trek.

[00:01:42] The next generation was on.

[00:01:44] And then I think it went the only channel that came in. But today people have choices, they have a lot, and I mean a lot of choices. So when it comes to your podcast, rather than thinking of it like the only broadcast channel

[00:03:01] in town, it's probably best to think of your podcast

[00:03:04] as a cable network, a unique cable network. And a audience member who finds that very interesting and they want to subscribe and listen to that episode. I think if you do the random everybody, anybody show, your episodes are absolutely without a doubt, cherry picked. They're going in there, scrolling through your feed and finding a guest that they know or somebody that they find interesting.

[00:04:20] And this is where having very clever titles is is so extremely important. Once you figure that out, you realize your audience loves Cheeto chips. So why serve them a variety pack? Give

[00:05:41] them Cheetos because that's what they came for. So I want to say thank you once again
